* For the second week running there was a full house for the second semi final of Castlewellan Does Strictly Come Dancing and again five absolute saw absolutely cracking performances from our dancers Conall Corrigan & Megan Clarke, Paul McVeigh & Andrea McClean, Gerard Keown & Sarah McArdle, Niall Duffy

* Castlewellan Come Dancing returned last Saturday Night with a bang. A full house saw absolutely first class performances from all the couples in this first semi final. * Congratulations to St Patrick’s High School Downpatrick who won and retained the Danske Bank Casement Cup Final in a thrilling final against La Salle Belfast at The Dub last Thursday Night. Congratulations especially to Sean Hardy, Jake Carville and James McAleenan who were all part of the winning squad.

* The winter fun coaching programme for boys and girls will commence in the main gym in St Malachy’s HS Castlewellan on Wednesday November 6th and run for six consecutive Wednesday nights until Wednesday December 11th. The session will be one hour long: P1 to P4 inclusive will take place

* The final 500 club draw took take place last Saturday night in the club. You will find the list of all the winners on this website
* Commiserations to our Under 12½ Team who were beaten by Loughinisland on Sunday in the B Final. The young lads have progressed well

* The final 500 club draw will take place this Saturday night in the club. Draw returns can be given to Brian O’Neill next Friday night in the club. He will be there from 8.30pm to around 10.00pm. We encourage everyone to get all their returns in early on Saturday

* Rory (AKA Rory) and I am not quite sure which one I was sitting beside poured his bottle of Lavendel Merlot (one of Spain’s finest wines!). Across the table a hand-jiving Buster was reading the script. According to Buster the script is all about him! God help his good
