* ACTIV8 IS BACK! We are once again

Castlewellan GAC are once again organising Activ8. For those that are unfamiliar with the concept, it is a health and fitness programme held throughout the Lenten period. It is for men and women aged from 18 to 80 of all abilities.

* Well what a week it’s been. Ever since it is being muted that this year’s Annual Awards night will take place in the Club on Saturday 22 February, there has been an unprecedented scramble for tickets. Queues have started to form already outside the club. First in the line

* There was sad news this week at the passing of Sadie Poland, who was pre-deceased by her husband Pat. She was mother of member Aine Connolly mother-in-law of executive committee member Paul and grandmother to our playing members Gavin, Stephen and Aislinn Connolly. We wish to extend our sympathy

* As the Club prepares for 2014 we will be approaching people to help with Coaching and would ask members to think very seriously about this and please reply positively. We have 27 teams within our Club which provide games for all ages in all codes. As you can appreciate
